After almost one year of working freelance it is finally time to update my portfolio in the internet. The past months have been a really wild ride and I could barely catch up with all the new inspiration I faced since creating my behance profile. I spend my last year mainly focussing on illustration and typography rather then following up on what I had learned and worked at, which was mainly art direction & corporate identies.
The biggest challenge I had to face with the website was to find a way to bring in some of my old and more dated work to make up for a real portfolio, while knowing that in the past months and weeks my work has changed and reached a new level that is by some means barely comparable to what I used to do back then.

- Since I am already running a behance profile and a flickr account, I didn't really feel it was too necessary to come up with just another quick and easy way to view my work, but rather letting visitors discover bits and pieces and have them take their time with my projects.
- The 3D galaxy mobilees run on papervision,embedded flash cookies and small crystals used as indicators make it easy to recognize which planets/projects are already discovered, and which are still unknown, even if you're last visit was weeks ago.
- When you are checking out contentthere are several ways: Skip through the pictures, browse next and previous data, or click the artwork again, and go fullscreen to view the HD content with an extra musical layer to make the presentation complete. It also makes sure, people that visit my site on a 13'' laptop can still have a detailed look at my work without being distracted.
- I don't want busy people to get frustrated,because they're in a hurry, or run low-perfomance maschines, so I integrated an additonal thumbnail view.Projects and galaxies stay up to date via easy to use xml files.
