This is a school project where we had to introduce an Australian product(s) into Norway's market. We were free to choose anything that we wanted to, we could even come up with a fictional product, as long as it was inspired by the Australian culture and was a series of least two products . I wanted to choose something that would be new and exciting for the people in Norway. That is when I came up with the idea of introducing a new sport.
I am originally from Pakistan and now located in Norway since the past 7 years. I chose a sport called Cricket. I have been playing cricket since I was 8 years old. So I decided to introduce cricket, which is pretty fun to play and I would have a great series of product to work with.
After researching for a couple of days, I found out that there is not a single store in Norway that sells any cricket equipment. There are small cricket clubs here, which are mostly started by foreigners with cricket background, and they all have to buy the equipment from online stores.
Since the demand here in Norway would be low in the beginning, I narrowed down to introducing a Bat, Hard Ball and Batting Gloves. I chose Gunn & Moore only to show an example for my packaging design series.
The name and the logo are property of their respective owners, and were used by their permission.
We had 2 weeks to come up with our individual ideas. I consider this project my as one of my best, got really good feed back from the teachers and my fellow classmates.
