The Cress Gallery of Art is an academic gallery. It's exhibition schedule and programming is selected to demonstrate the highest consideration for formal theory and concept, contemporary artistic practice and materials, excellence in craft and technique, and relevance to the curriculum of the UTC Department of Art and its role within the University and the Community.

The Cress Gallery of Art is an institutional member of the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries (AAMG).
