Corks and Canvases is an annual fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters Northwest Florida. During the gala, all guests enjoy not only a night of drinks, dinner and dancing, but also an opportunity to give back to their community through bidding on art donated by local artists and children within the BBBS program.

idgroup was asked to re-imagine their visual identity system, help establish a consistent brand personality, and design a new, fresh logo. The organization needed to establish a consistent visual brand that could adapt to the various fundraising themes across the gulf coast—keeping in mind that the event's theme will change over the years as it continues to grow. Not only did their logo need to embrace and capture the event's creative and artistic personality, it was essential for the new visual identity to work in tandem with Big Brothers Big Sisters national brand.

The outcome reflects a logo that is memorable, appropriate to the Big Brothers Big Sisters brand, and simple in execution—a logo that is adaptable as the event's theme changes from year to year. The event's new mark creates a playful connection between the galas name—a combination of a corkscrew and paint brush.

With the rebrand playing a key factor in the event's success, the total donations from the event increased by over 600 percent than the previous year.
