These are some of my favorite pieces from my time as an editorial intern at refinery29.com. Many were published with little deviation from my final draft (including the 3:33, Assembly, Lindsey Thornburg, and Vicente Villarin pieces). I was very proud of the fact that I could craft a writing piece that could be published immediately with no copy edits. My articles were often syndicated on Coolhunting.com and racked.com as well.
I am particularly proud of the Lindsey Thornburg piece. The morning we published it, Nylon published their own blog on the item clearly having used my reporting as a springboard.
When the site changed formats from long format reporting to blog reporting, I had to modify my voice to produce shorter more succinct pieces. I am hoping to leverage my writing experience to break into copywriting for luxury, fashion, beauty and mens lifestyle brands.
