What we were asked to do
We were asked to develop a new brand identity for Coolous, a US / China manufacturer of Apple iphone and ipad cases. They approached us after seeing our past work on the iriver project. The main objective was to increase awareness of the Coolous brand and communicate the core brand values values of innovation, design and quality. View iriver project
Coolous produce cool cases for the iphone and ipad. With this knowledge and their existing logo as a starting point we developed a suite of brand assets. These were based around the 'dot' shape in the existing logo. Using this we created a suite of ergonomic forms to lend a tactile quality to the packaging. An understated use of colour, typography and texture were added to communicate the core brand values of innovation, design and quality.
What we designedThe brand identity included an evolved logo design, suite of stationery, e-commerce website, various items of merchandising and packaging solutions being rolled out across the Coolous product range. The website is currently in development: www.coolous.com
