Austrian based singer and songwriter Philipp Szalay commissioned Mindconsole to produce the music clip for his band project “Farewell Dear Ghost” and their first single “Cool Blood”.
A shortfilm about life, love and death is our visual answer to this atmospheric track. Based on an idea by Philipp Szalay, we meet two totally different people, in a situation close to death and their mental journey to reach out to each other.
The technical side may be worth mentioning this time, because shooting with lenses wide open at an f-stop of 1.0 was necessary to get high frame rates for super slow motion at night time.
Like Stanley Kubrick in “Barry Lyndon”, we didn’t want to introduce artificial lighting to our locations, so utilizing super-fast lenses was the way to go.
