Cooking Comfort
- Cooking Comfort
An immersion blender, food processor, and electric can opener - Cooking homemade spaghetti sauce is a tradition that people continue even as they grow older (although cooking becomes more difficult with age). The goal was to design a product that will make it easier for people to cook as they age. By making the tools more ergonomic, comfortable, lighter, and less tiring to use for extended amounts of time, the process of making spaghetti sauce will become easier. With tools that are easier to use, younger people may be encouraged to learn to cook their family’s traditional spaghetti sauce recipes. This will lead to preserving traditions and family bonding.

Final immersion blender, food processor, and electric can opener

- The three appliances lock together to recharge through induction. The food processor plugs into a wall outlet for power.

Initial research - 3 women, ages 45-55, were interviewed about their processes to cook home made spaghetti sauce
