A concrete desk consisting of 3 main objects. Two trestles and the plateau of concrete. In the mold we putted plastic foil mainly used fot lettering. I had a lot of experience with plastic. In the companies I worked I knew nothing realy sticks to plastics unless it's the plastic itself. By using this foil The concrete is easily released from the mold and because of the texture of the foil, the concrete feels soft and reflects the light very well. Because of the 3 parts the table is easy to transport or easy to bring to higher floors.
The pine wood and the concrete look realy natural together and the contrast of high tech against the raw shiny concrete is really nice to look at.
The table is custom made and is to be seen this year at the Bijenkorf during the Dutch Design Week.
