Comon - poster and brochure

Comon is an event  meant to promote the young creative minds.
The theme of the 2012 edition was "Local2Global". The main idea of what I proposed is linked to the concept of a line which connects the four discipines presented in the event. The line is a route, a path that from pencil trace becomes thread, brush stroke and olive oil. The colour used belongs to Comon's visual identity.
The mode through which this line becomes route is represented in the poster with a street map view, resemble the familiar signage of Google (pink pins). Thanks to the map all the little local realities are connected each other generating a (global) network.
The style is mainly flat and bidimensional and identifies iconographically the creative area thanks to the selected type of stoke and the flat kind of colours used. For this reason it can potentially call the young designers who want to take part to the event.
Inside the brochure we can read the story following the yellow line, page by page. The yellow cover matches with the poster and attracts attention.
The brochure is just folded and not bound.
Bis-quit  - tea cup

Thefirst thing you can think about reading this name is for sure the referencewith the biscuit, but the hyphenation makes us guess a different pronuciationrelated to the french word indicating the white porcelain. Eventually, it iseasy to understand that "quit" means in english something that  stops, gives up, or gets rid ofsomething. This indicates the function of the object

Howmany times have we dipped the biscuits into a hot drink and we saw it droppinginside? And how annoying is the fact of picking it up, or even worse drinking the crumbs? This no doubt depends on the kind of biscuit, but many tea biscuits fall intopieces once dipped, particularly in case of hot drinks. If they do not fall into pieces, they leave some crumbs thesame, inside the cup, therefore this forces us to leave a leftover of the drink on the bottom, instead ofdrinking it

Whatit has been designed is a tea (or milk) cup being able to getrid of crumbs, once the biscuits weredipped in it. This was made possible thanks to the crumb-stopper barrier system which simply holds the crumbsclose to the cup bottom. This cup's production it is not so different from a regularceramics item, in fact it is used a mould made of gypsum

Interms of maintenance there are no problems as the cleanability of the productis easily achievable through the use of simple shapes of moulding and avoidingsharp profiles

Desko  - agency manifesto

This manifesto has been designed for a creative agency to represent each one of the members working in it.
The competition brief was representing a creative agency through a recipe and outlining it using a graphic output.

Desko is the union of 12 different ingredients, characterising the 12 members working at the agency in a different way using 12 different local products. Each one of these ingrediends can be combined together with the others to make a parfait. It represents the geuinity of the single ingredients, but also the strength that they gain matched with each other. The name Desko is after the latin word discus, which means lunch table. Desko is the table where the members meet every day.
