Proposal follows traditional urban principles of the given site and it`s architectural context. It is suggested as two storey building with the saddle roof. Definite composition brings to the site stable dignified mass as a confirmatory of site`s value – but attractive and iconic at the same time.
It`s defined by two main axes. The first one is created by plinth-looking mass of the first floor deflecting moderately from the building plot to open attractive prospect to the st. George church when looking towards the ascending path. And second one at cross intersection meant as main communication path. It connects newly proposed village green and community center garden with it`s interior. First floor integrates the central café with the multifunctional hall, second is used for the City library with elliptic skylights and community common rooms in the wooden building part. Garden proposal is freely inspired by monastery gardens – usually clearly defined areas by it`s walls, piece of paradise in the middle of the former dismal area.
