This assignment was completed during my internship for Creative Curriculum Initiative in New York. These old comic book pages were scanned in for use in a series of textbooks grades 6-12. To restore these old comics to a more eye pleasing state I used Photoshop. In Photoshop I applied a blue filter to weed out the yellowing of the pages, adjusted the saturation and contrast, and to finalize these pages I went inside the art and painted some of the flaking colors, especially the black.
