Collective is a type face that was created thanks to the beautiful doors that help
shape Karangahape Road in Auckland.
There were two parts of this brief, a completed visual diary and a typeface. For the visual diary I got a feel for
K Rd and collected random items, took notes and photographed everything unique. I then analysed
my collection and developed my typeface from the doors and joinary that I had photographed.
The name of the typeface represents the brief as a whole but also the fact that K R is such a collection of people and different cultures as well as what we might only see visually.
