This work was inspired by Amate Bark Paintings. It was made on a recycled brown paper grocery bag treated with an India ink wash and painted with acrylics and a black sharpie. It references the sacred and the secular history of a species that is a very visible symbol in the Pacific Northwest, and the choice of a recycled grocery bag is relevant to the whole story. Read Less
