What is it?
Coffee Run is a simple way to invite friends and co-workers to join you for coffee.
My Role
The concept and design. I wrote a brief, created personas, and designed an iPhone app. I also created a prototype with Flinto.
Inspiration
You're going out for coffee and you want to invite co-workers to join you. What the best way to invite everyone? Instant messaging? Start an email chain? Walk around to different floors?

Personas
I brainstormed a list of groups and situations that a coffee run app might be valuable. This helped me generate a list of unique users.
I picked two users that I thought would be a great fit (a college student and a professional) and created a simple persona for each.
Designs
I wanted to make it quick and easy for users to invite friends for coffee. Sending an invite only requires two pieces of information: when and which group.
As soon as the invite is sent, friends get a notice with a countdown.
Groups
I wanted group lists to be as simple as possible. Who needs more networks to manage? In Coffee Run, when you create a group it generates a unique invite code. Then, all you have to do is share that code with anyone you want to join the group, such as new co-workers, classmates, or friends.
People can use the code to join groups from within the app. It's easy, and you don't have to manage a list of users.
