Cloak
A cheap mechanism disguised by a fancy shell

Created as part of the market course in Politecnico di Milano, this cloak was made to be attractive, to sell, even though the inside mechanism was considered as unworthy. The new imagery created by the new shell never once tried to conceal the fact that its hurt was actually an inexpensive and "ugly" mechanism. only now, after it got "pimped-up", it was suddenly a desirable item, though the original essence remained.

This project was presented in That's Design, the university's pavilion during the design week, Milano 2010.
