Assignment
Find a partner and interview them. Do your research. It could be anything and everything. You could focus on what they do on a daily basis, road trip, their passions, or you could focus on their food/calorie intake from Thanksgiving week. Make it interesting and make it fun. Produce a piece of designed matter that communicates all of your research and information. The final piece will be up to you. You could do a series of posters, an info graphic, a book, annual report, or a combination.
My Project
My partner's name is Hannah Bruce (see her work here). She is friendly and likable, and she likes a lot of things. In her words, "I'm not indecisive, everything just seems like a good option." She likes [almost] everything. So I decided to create a poster series of the few things that Hannah doesn't like: poor grammar, majoring in architecture, cats, the Internet, things everyone else likes, and fedoras. I decided to keep a simple, minimalist style with a lot of negative space and one major illustration on each piece. I had fun creating each illustration and putting together the series as a whole.
