This project was accomplished for the course Design III, during the school year 2010/2011. The goal was to develop three types of urban furniture, of our choice.
I began by developing a signage system consisting of 1 meter high modules. This system also incorporates arrow modules, which are attached to the first ones, leaving room for the optional acrylic plates with further information.
There's another module that serves the refueling of electric vehicles and another one with a wireless antenna, which provides free internet up to 4 MB. The modules are arranged according to the city's needs. I decided to apply this idea to bus stops. This time, I drew a fixed piece, that looks the same everywhere. The only difference would be the available sizes of the modules, namely two, four or six meters. These modules
are thiner on the tips, in order for them to be lighter and to reduce the amount of material needed.
Both systems are built around a metallic structure and lined with ACM.
