Chrysalis
Grocery Transportation System
Many SCAD students rely on bicycles as their main method of transportation; while great for the environment, I noticed how restricted they were when it came to what they could purchase at the grocery store. After a period of observation, interviews, and user testing, I developed Chrysalis - an insulated, compartmentalized carrier created out of upcycled materials that grew according to the amount of groceries that needed to be transported. As I explored with Chrysalis, the aspect of design that excites me the most is how it has the potential to positively and intelligently affect our lives when it is effectively researched and explored.
