Christmas Lino Prnt
from sketches to final print
So i am going to be making thisdrawing into a Lino Print, for my Christmas Cards for 2011. I am going to simplify it down, so when i cut it out, my lines are thick enough to do a print from..I have created an image in Photoshop of what i kind of want it to look like aswell.

I have going to buy my cutters this weekend hopefully, andthen source some offcuts of lino from a flooring store.

Then I will update this as I go :)
Initial sketch
Slightly more simplified for the print. Most likely will getmore simplified as i cut it out

Should look similar to this onceprinted - going to be using white ink, on brown card, for my Christmas cardsthis year
First Lino Print - will stillneed to cut a bit more out i think

Lino prints - doing some teststo see how it comes out..
Not sure what to do with thebanners, I was going to paint in the words have a merry Christmas, but I thinkthat will look silly over the red (I was going to use white ink) Otherwise icould carve out all the banners and then paint in the. Or try carve the words?Which could be hard, as its quite small..hmmm

So i finally finished and adjusted my lino print, ready for printing onto my recylced cards..see image above for final product. I ended up painting in the words, as it was too hard to carve them..and i tired, trust me!

Everybody loved it! Handmade cards are soo much better than shop bought ones (unless they are also awesome!)

Thanks for reading my progress.
