ABOUT
This project is about Egyptian children's hygiene and health, targeting middle class children between the ages 6- 9 years old; studying in the Egyptian public elementary schools. The reason why children were selected as a target group is because children are rather vulnerable to neglect the basics of personal hygiene and such topic might seem quite boring and not interesting enough for them to love to learn.
Thus the aim of the project is to help these children get interested in practicing good hygiene by illustrating those 4 characters which were inspired from their habits of keeping themselves clean in real life. For instance the cat licks her hand to clean it, so she will be teaching the children how to wash their hands properly. The crocodile and the plover bird which cleans the croc's teeth from the food left overs, will be teaching the children how to wash their teeth properly. Same goes for the elephant who loves bathing and the monkeys that clean one another's hair from flees and insects.
APPLICATIONS
These characters will be implemented in two applications; the school copybook which the child regularly opens either during the school days or at his home doing his homework. The second application are posters that will be consistent with the copybook and are going to be held upon the school walls, classroom walls, and beside the bathrooms, so that the children would bond with the messages ..etc.
LANGUAGES & VOCAB.
The language used is Arabic and English, and the vocabulary is very basic and simple for the children to be able to perceive easily, as for the little children at the age 6-7 they might not be able to read well enough at their age and that is why I had the characters and the situations illustrated in a well perceivable way for them to still be able to get the message without having to read.

This project is still unfinished, there is a lot of work that is yet to be done and published.
The project will expand and the characters will be developed, in addition to illustrating more characters inspired also from their habits of keeping themselves clean and healthy in real life.
Another coloring approaches will be tried out. Instead of having the background colored and the characters left in white.. The other way around should be tried out like the first samples presented here.
The project will also engage all children from all target groups and not only in Egypt but also in as many countries as possible. In that case the illustrations will be more self-explanatory and no text will have to be written so that all children from everywhere could understand the messages.
