Children’s’ Corner is a project based on my site visit to India in two villages- one of which is a fishing village and the other an agricultural village. This project centres on the issue of alcoholism, instead of focusing on the source, rather the victims of the issue which are women and children. The intervention emerged from the basis of playground and which progresses into a platform that reaches outwards onto the pond. By creating an informal social space for women and children, the intervention directly addresses the importance of play in education in developing countries. While classroom learning is important, play provides a different environment for children to learn and develop skills in order to put their learninginto practice daily.
