Fond Memories
A small collection of images from my recent trip home. It always take me a little time to adjust to the bright and contrasting light in New Zealand. I'm really interested in documenting how things age, especially things I have lived with all my life – like people, places, objects, infrastructure and memories.

These are from a still relatively untouched bay area and commune in the north of the Coromandel in New Zealand's North Island. I spent most of my childhood summers in and around here.

Above: A very old looking raft that we used to swim out to in the bay. I think this one was the third prototype, after the first lost its anchor and drifted onto rocks, and the second was taken by a hurricane. This design sported airtight buckets (the remains of which you can still see) to raise it out of the water.
