Volt Drivers Challenge

The Chevy Volt owners are a strong community of tech-savvy, well-imformed drivers. To meet their needs, we developed a mobile app that (through OnStar) would gather live data from their Volt and package it in a useful, easy-to-read way. We also gamified their driving experience, giving them the ability to set their own goals and earn achievements. One of the strategic hurdles was the limited amount of data OnStar would allow us to acces, which required some clever math in order to deduct some of the data points we knew our drivers would demand. The result is just the beginning as we are in constant communication with our Volt drivers and continue to fine-tune their experience. For our clients, this wasn't just another app - it was the birth of a platform.
