This was the first client driven poster in my career as a Graphic Designer. The initial mock up started as a class assignment at Montgomery County Community College. We were given the body copy and some general information about the client, the head of the theater department, and what she was looking for. Our client wanted a retro feel, like an old movie poster. my inspiration for this actually came from a movie poster around that time. the panels showed the top actors in the film with their names above them. The actual imagery for the "cast" was a result of brainstorming with the client. It's supposed to mimic a film reel midway through frames. There is a lot of copy and I've been told by others to remove some of it to make it less congested and, while I agree with them, I feel that leaving it as it is shows how one can deal with a lot of text.
