Social Communication Water Bottle Concept
- In recent period, ‘social responsibility’, which firmly concerns environmental issue, is getting close within everyday life cycle, albeit majority of people are still hard to see what has exactly been emerged as a practical issue on it. So this concept also designed as for a social communication tool for further user awareness. Although good design is needed, how it is considered the products ability to maintain good business for general sector and therefor promote the issue of sustainability, which is a residing criteria of sustainable design, it is a social communication framework.
The consumer has to be involved not just merely sold the product. What is needed is an increase in user awareness and in a scene involvement, so as to spread the the concept of a sustainable society.
That is the purpose of the uniquely shaped water bottle concept, designed with the aim of being used as a stimulus package for the general market, provoking an interest and thereby visually communicating an idea.
Structurally the product is relatively simple consisting of three main components that cause little environmental impact. Making up the main body of the product is a stainless steel bottle (ensuring longevity and recyclability), enclosed by two silicon rubber cups, providing protection and insulation. Additionally the colour and shape inspired by that of a tulip enables the product to emit a recognisable element of nature, intended to induce a feeling of connectivity towards nature that is seldom felt within the confines of an urbanised space.
