2010 Census Summary and Recommendations for 2020 Report
The California Complete Count 2010 Census Report and Recommendations was a comprehensive and collaborative effort to analyze the 2010 Census and provide recommendations for a complete and accurate count in the state's next Census. This years-long endeavor involved a multitude of stakeholders, engagement events, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis.
I was a part of the facilitation team that brought together diverse stakeholders from government agencies, community organizations, advocacy groups, and volunteers. Because of the size and scope of the final report, I pitched the project to a local design firm and produced the report in collaboration with their creative director. As the primary designer of this report, I worked closely with the project manager and managed the production schedule. I created the design concept, data visualization, illustrations, and layout with limited oversight from the creative director. I was also responsible for final print production, press checks, and the final delivery of the report.
