Caving at "Goa Cerme"
"Goa Cerme" is a heritage cave, located in Dusun Srunggo, Selopamioro, Imogiri, Bantul, Central Java, Indonesia (about 20 km from south Yogyakarta City). This cave has about 1,5 - 2 km length with drowned ground water level for about 1 - 1,5 meters. So, get ready to wet.
This cave consist of many "rooms" such as panggung pertemuan, air zam zam, mustoko, air suci, watu kaji, pelungguhan / paseban, kahyangan, grojogan sewu, air penguripan, gamelan, batu gilang, lumbung padi, gedung sekakap, kraton, panggung, goa lawa, and watu gantung.
The main attraction from Goa Cerme are its underground river, its underground waterfall (called "Grojogan Sewu"), many bats nets, and also 'mud game' (visitor like to cross out their friends' face with mud from the cave). Beside that, visitors will see the beautiful stalactite, stalagmites, flowstone, and other kind of rocks.
If you want to go caving in Goa Cerme, don't forget to wear a pair of boots or comfort shoes, caving coverall or T-shirt with long pants, safety helmet, flashlights, and it will be better if you bring underwater camera. There are so many ground water droplets and visitor usually stumble easily, so take care of your bag& electronic devices.
