The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps has a long standing tradition of wearing necklaces made from marimba string and a tiny little plastic gear. In 1973 the corps started to hand out gears as a morale booster after a rough year, and every year the gear changes to go with the theme of the show. Since then the tradition has continued and is still well-known and respected among the members and alumni of the corps.
The idea behind this poster is that The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and the The Green Music Group (an organization that helps music based companies, bands, and groups to become more environmentally friendly)team up to help promote their respective companies. The Cavaliers are recruiting members, while The Green Music Group is recruiting others to become more "green" and work together for a good cause.
