The objective of this project was create a new business, name it, design a wordmark, abstract mark and design an envelope, business card letterheard for the business. I chose to create a vegan bakery that would be located on the Delmar Loop in St. Louis. The Delmar Loop is a popular hang out for college students, who are my target audience. I chose the name Carmela for my bakery’s name because it is reminiscent of carmel and it means garden and orchard in latin, tying the name to the organic quality of veganism. My wordmark is handwritten to emphasize the handmade nature of a bakery.
