The subject matter in this screenprint poster is the song of the musician Juan Luis Guerra 440. The challenge was to create a design that not only drew attention to the title and the artist but to consider other visual elements such as the physical and optical interaction of the inks, a clear hierarchy, and a balance between the guitars and the typography. This poster is heavily influenced by El Lissitzky's constructivist designs. Also, the colors were influenced by the title's reference to the caribbean sea; and the guitar motif were added because of the song's use of spanish guitars.
