The challenge that the client put to us was tocreate a magazine that celebrated both Canada's Walk of Fame as well as the2011 Inductee's. Each of the seven inductee's would be allotted two spreads inwhich we would be able to highlight their career achievements.
Although the magazine has an overall structure andgrid, our approach was to design each of the articles around the personalitiesand achievements of the Inductee's. Whether it was creating a typeface out of
maple syrup, or writing copy on the side of a stack of cassette tapes, eacharticle tells a story with both words and visuals.
