The project was made for Cafe Punta del Cielo, the challenge was to create a coffee maker that would transmit the environment of Cafe Punta del Cielo in a home.

El proyecto fue realizado para Cafe Punta del Cielo, el reto fue crear una cafetera que llevaría la experiencia de Cafe Punta del Cielo al hogar.
Actualmente, el café en México esta pasando por un choque entre lo tradicional como el cafe de olla, y lo moderno de cadenas internacionales.

After reaching a final design, it was decided that the materials used would be alumininum for the top, the "olla" would be ceramic and it would have an artisinal palm weaved piece to avoid being burnt.
Después de llegar al diseño final, se decidio que los materiales usados serian aluminio para la parte superior, ceramica para la "olla" y tendría una cubierta de mimbre para evitar quemaduras.
For use, all you need to do is put water and spices in the "olla" and coffee in the top. You place the top on the "olla" and turn it on, wait for the light at the top to turn off and simply pour out delicious coffee.
The coffee maker has a small reusable filter to facilitate use.
Para usarla, solo necesitas poner agua y especies en la "olla" y café en la parte de arriba. Colocas la tapa en la "olla" y la prendes, esperas a que la luz se apague y viertes café delicioso.

The prototype was made using wood carved and sanded to give the desired forms and then finished with paint to look like ceramic and metal, the palm weaving was done by Pablo Vega, artisan in Monterrey, N.L.
