Cosmos, a short 3D animation movie
A 3D short movie animation called "COSMOS - the pass of a day". A collection of several earth locations beggining with the sun rising and finish when the sun sets.
Technical description:
We had to render 5600 frames of 1024 x 576 res. It took two and a half months to model the environments render and finaly edit them. We needed about an afternoon or whole day to create every scene and one or two days to render each one of them. In order to decrease render time we used global ambience insted of global radiocity as lighting method and all scenes are rendered in final mode and that's why there is so much color flickering. All scenes created with vue 10xstream and worldmachine 2, and post production done with after effects and photoshop cs5.
