Nexus - a means of connection, tie or link. The vision was to connect the past, present and future of the College of Creative Arts by re-establishing Massey University's history into the new building. This has been accomplished through the integration of past Massey graduates into the wayfinding system and the intermixing of traditional and contemporary building materials and typeface decisions. The type was reversed out by applying black paint to the negative space in order to make the wood grain the main feature of the wayfinding system.
