Every couple of years, Cimpor (a world leading cement manufacturer) holds not only a general board meeting but also a managers meeting. Seville in 2011 was the stage for the Iberian Peninsula meeting and White was asked to create it's ID , collateral and event design and so we did.
It was the chance to unveil and explore the recent sectorial strategic look previously created by Ars Design.
Ars had created a very positive color scheme and also a "little slanted brick" that distinguished each of Cimpors products.
Well, since the meeting that we were designing for was for both Portugal and Spain, one way of exploring the common ground was to think: Tiles.
Both countries have a rich traditional architecture that carries the legacy of moorish occupation, and so this was the original thinking that led to the end result that you can see in the images below.
