Developed by partners of the Federal Government and the private initiative, the Casa Brasil Space is a project aimed at introducing to the world – during the South Africa World Cup – a new concept of Brazil. The idea is to show the enormity of Brazil – a country of continental dimensions and huge tourism diversity.
The Space has eight rooms decorated according to the cultural richness of Brazil. Art, modernity, technology are the focus of the environments that depict, in the detail, the experience of visiting Brazil. At the entrance lobby visitors find Oscar Niemeyer’s images that evidence the Brazilian artistic innovation.
In 2014 it’s time to Brazil to host the World Cup and, thus, the Casa Brasil Space also presents the cities hosting the matches. Who intends to enjoy the Cup in Brazil can get to know better the city selected to watch the games, and find out some tourist itineraries around the city.
During the South Africa Cup, the Casa Brasil Space will host the launching of the 2014 Cup Logo. Developed y the 2014 Cup Organizing Committee (COL), the Logo will be officially introduced on July 8 and will stand for the first official FIFA event to the next Cup.
Located at the Sandton Convention Center – the biggest trading center in the city of Johannesburg, in South Africa - the Casa Brasil Space is open everyday to the public from 14:00 to 18:00 – except for days of Brazil's matches - and from 19:00 to 24:00 to eventsexclusive to guests.
