Our client asked us to design contemporary packaging that could express the modern trendy lifestyle of Rio de Janeiro without being cliché with typical tropical graphics and green & yellow colors that are usually related to Brazilian products.
This brand wanted minimal graphics and strong shelf presence.
We got inspired by some brazilian icons, such as the Pão de Açucar (Sugarloaf Mountain) and the Calçadão de Copacabana pattern, and illustrated them in a minimal elegant way.
The color palette gives a premium look to the product and also highlights it from the noisy packs that may be on the shelf.
The brand name, Café Brasileiro, is written in Portuguese and it means Brazilian Coffee.
On the golden medal on the top you can read "Feito no Brasil" which means Made in Brazil.
The typography is also modern, sans serif, and easy to identify and read.
The pattern gives a very strong presence on the shelf, when the packs are placed side by side.
