Buddhism is crucial for disabled people because it is a key for mental development, value awareness and
self-altitude. They should apply the Buddhism doctrine to their daily lives which can lead to happiness. They
should follow the life path of no exploitation, be self-dependent and be able to see self-values. To bring the
Buddhism doctrine to reach benefit maximization, the Three Studies should be introduced. The Three Studies
consist of morality, concentration and wisdom.

The theory will be presented along with font format, font size, pictures and colors which all are later
examined, analyzed and concluded to make final decision for book design. The final version needs to be proper for the blind. Also, symbol, picture and color analysis needs to be done. The book content is divided into three due to the Three Studies. Morality is represented by lotus. Concentration is represented by mediated Buddha image. Wisdom is represented by the Wheel of Law. Also, the color is represented by the Buddha’s glory. Moreover, the book is composed of Braille so that the blind can read.

The result is found that all blind can read, understand and visualize the story. However, partial blind people have different vision capabilities. The solution is to use tools such as lens or magnifiers to make them
be able to read the book easier than usual.

เนื่องด้วยพระพุทธศาสนาเป็นเรื่องสำคัญยิ่งสำหรับผู้พิการทางสายตาเพื่อการพัฒนาสภาพจิตใจ ให้ตระหนักในคุณค่า และทัศนคติที่ดีต่อตนเอง ด้วยการใช้หลักธรรมคำสอนขององค์สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าไปประยุกต์ใช้ให้เหมาะสมกับชีวิตประจำวันอย่างมีความสุข มีแนวทางในการดำรงชีวิตที่ไม่เบียดเบียนใคร พึ่งพาตนเองได้ และมองเห็นคุณค่าในตนเอง การจะนำหลักธรรมคำสอนขององค์สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้ามาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์และเข้าถึงสูงสุดนั้น จะต้องมีวิธีการศึกษาทางพระพุทธศาสนา เรียกว่า ไตรสิกขา ได้แก่ ศีล สมาธิ และปัญญา

ด้วยการนำแบบอักษร ขนาดตัวอักษร ภาพประกอบ และสีสันต่างๆ ไปศึกษา ทดสอบ วิเคราะห์ จึงได้ข้อสรุปและข้อจำกัดต่างๆที่นำมาใช้ในการออกแบบหนังสือเพื่อผู้พิการทางสายตาแบบเลือนลาง ซึ่งทำให้หนังสือเล่มนี้มีลักษณะเฉพาะตัวสำหรับผู้พิการทางสายตาแบบเลือนลาง รวมทั้งได้วิเคราะห์สัญลักษณ์ ภาพประกอบ สีที่ใช้ในหนังสือให้มีความหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพระพุทธศาสนา ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็นสามเรื่องตามไตรสิกขา คือ ศีล แทนด้วยดอกบัว สมาธิ แทนด้วยพระพุทธรูปปางสมาธิ ปัญญา แทนด้วยธรรมจักร และสีที่ใช้ในหนังสือคือสีของฉัพพรรณรังสีที่เปล่งออกจากพระวรกายของพระพุทธองค์ นอกจากนี้หนังสือเล่มนี้ยังประกอบด้วยอักษรเบรลล์ซึ่งผู้พิการทางสายตาแบบบอดสนิทสามารถอ่านได้

ผลการนำหนังสือดังกล่าวไปทดสอบ ผู้พิการทางสายตาทั้งสองประเภทสามารถอ่าน เข้าใจ และมองเห็นภาพได้ชัดเจน ทั้งนี้ผู้พิการทางสายตาแบบเลือนลางในแต่ละรายมีความสามารถในการมองเห็นภาพได้แตกต่างกันไปในแต่ละบุคคล ผู้พิการทางสายตาจึงมีเครื่องมือช่วยในการมองเห็นหรืออ่านหากไม่สามารถมองได้อย่างชัดเจนเช่น เลนส์ แว่นขยาย เป็นต้น
