- Broken Elvis
Current Project - Upon examination of my busy schedule.. comprised primarily of checking job listings, writing cover letters, staring mercilessly at my inbox and my continual quest to discover ever more opulent ways to survive the week on the pittance provided to me via governmental allowance.. I have decided that I do indeed have enough time to write my first comic and have set upon the task with much vigor.

- Drawing, 2004
This work hallmarked the first appearance of what is now the lead character of Broken Elvis into my sketchbook. A 'grizzler' to the end, he promptly chastised me for my irregular draughting habits. I nicknamed him 'Money' and drew him for a bit before becoming distracted by the pressures of turning a derelict pavlova factory into a photographic studio/event space.
- Revisiting the character earlier this year I renamed him Elvis after spotting a keen resemblance to an old chum whom, incidentally, first introduced me to the myriad pleasures of publicly exhibiting unsolicited typography.
The following excerpts from my drawing journal show the development of this character and the beginnings of the world which he inhabits.

- Just as in my youth, I soon decided it preposterous allowing young Elvis to have all the fun to himself and began developing my own character post-haste.

- And that is where the ink ends, although the pencil goes on.
Will check back in to update once I have something more comprehensible for you, and may I add that I have greatly appreciated this time spent with you my most intrepid reader. I applaud both your listening skills and lack of interruption. You are indeed an individual of fine cultivation and refined tastes.

- "The characters portrayed in my drawings are entirely fictional, any similarities to real persons living, dead or still living with Mom sucking back 3x50 bags a week and not returning my calls is entirely co-incidental. Eat a dick if you think you can flex with some legal bullshit. Holla at ya boy - Peace!"
