Fondazione Falcone
Our first choice, in designing the foundation identity, was to give
continuity to the old symbol while integrating new languages, both
metaphorical and stylystic, with a certain projection towards the
future. The tree standing at the entrance of Giovanni Falcone's house
had been for years the icon of a legality and fight-the-mafia culture, as
well as the symbol of an evergreen memory that can not and must not
fade away. Almost as if the projection of this memory mirrors itself in
the tree's crown, made of papers and tickets, kept alive by young people
from all over the world with their letters, thougths, questions and
hopes. It will be the new generations' job to keep the tree and the
memories alive, so that the teachings of great men will not be in vain..
