Boxpark, the world's first pop-up shopping mall, is now open in Shoreditch. Fabricated from over sixty recycled shipping containers over two levels, the temporary development looks at retail in a new light – a solution that is affordable, environmental and flexible.
By utilising land that has been earmarked for future development, Boxpark operates as a fully functioning pop-up mall for the period of its lease and then can be picked up and moved to a new home. All this, whilst having a much smaller impact on the environment than most other retail developments – it is, after all, made of recycled materials
