It is the one of  ugliest monuments in the city of São Paulo. A historical figure, Borba Gato was a "bandeirante" , a trailblazer. He was feared by both white and indian population in the 17th and 18th century. He was a thief, murderer, rapist,  indian hunter, gold digger, hired gun, slave trader, political figure and a very wealthy man. Part of the history of Brazil and it's territory were conquered by men like Borba Gato. I started by taking some pictures of the statue a couple of months ago. There isn't a very good angle to it. It is not photogenic. Vector and bitmap. Original 40x50 cm. Prints 20x25 cm.
