I have been working closely with a brand new pizza restaurant up in Baxter, Minnesota. They cook everything in a wood fire oven with fresh specialty ingredients. It is a great stop for people up north at their cabins and for the locals of the Brainerd Lakes area.
The owner wanted a tasteful design based around his dog, Boomer. Simple illustration paired with type filled with character builds a unique design language and a solid identity.
After branding the company, I went up to the restaurant to paint their signs and contribute some hand lettered pieces to the floor, the windows, and the walls. I even brought on my good friend and fellow signpainter Connor Cashman to come help with all of the signs. It was a crazy time with a huge workload, but it was a blast and a really great experience.
