- The principal Interior space of this site will be showcasing India's greatest and rarest works in literature.This area will relate to the thick walls of the Forts where immense treasures were hidden in order to protect them.The Plan:
The secret alleys that were formed to access such places will be designed in this store.
The great Durbars where meeting and functions were held will relate to the Book Launch/release area.
The typical Royal Resting Quarters will relate to the reading lounge. The people visiting this store can hence use it as a library.
- The Elements:The design of the door arcs which were simplified by the Marathas (without the intricate carving used during the Moghul era) will be used.
Other features and elements of design typical to Moghul architecture such as the 'Jaali' will be applied to design the book shelves.
- Furniture, upholstery, carpets have been designed translating the very typical moghul design in a more contemporary language.
