  • This exhibition was the result of an elective course taught by a graphic designer, a writer and a museum curator in ProDiseño, Escuela de Comunicación Visual y tecnología. Each week, we would read a short story or essay related to the language, words or the letter and from its analysis, we would come up with a typographic interpretation. Nine projects were selected to be shown in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Caracas, Venezuela.

My piece was inspired by “The Book of Sand” (El Libro de Arena). A short story written by Jorge Luis Borges, which narrates the story of a book collector who encounters an endless book.

  • "La suma de todas las escrituras genera un volumen infinito, una transparencia espesa donde el ojo se pierde y el sentido se multiplica" (The sum of all writings generates an infinite volume, a transparency where the eye gets lost and the senses multiplied).– José Luis Omaña.

The story was laid out on one acrylic sheet that was repeated 15 times to create a mass of letterforms and evoke the idea of infinity.
