The main concept for my photos I wanted to use nude models and project patterns onto their body. I started to explore by cutting out patterns on black cardstock paper and used a lamp to project the cut out image on my model. At first my concept was to use the whole body as a canvas but I notice how the images looked more refine when I mainly focused on the torso. After my first session with my model and looking at the digital color images I thought about how they would look like in black and white. During my editing process I decided that black and white brought more to the photos. I would look each photo and wonder what am I looking at and it made me explore my own photos in depth. I encourage the you to quickly over look the image at first then look closer at how the shadows move along the torso. I find it fascinating how light and shadows can create delicate lines of movement when projected on a human canvas.
