Markus Ben Fuchs and Carsten Witte worked on this project since 2010. The idea behind it is to cover up nude photographs by seperately made paintings.
Nudity is a paradox, it drives us and inhibit us, nudity is full of certainties and errors, it gives us support and releases us into emptiness. We are all naked from birth - in every aspect. Nudity can not be solved solely with clothing, as being nude does not mandatory means being naked.
Clothing is the artificial shell of mankind. The community works by Carsten Witte and Ben Markus Fuchs reveal, however, the natural envelope and show that personality and autonomy dress without clothes. Both artists are masters of modern form-finding. The portraits of Carsten Witte act by Aura, they devote themselves to dissolve from the individual and flesh and primarily focus on form and abstraction. With the change from photography to colour painting gives Ben Markus Fuchs the still life dynamic power without revealing the mystery and enigma.
The principle of self-expression is not limited to the model, it continues by the audience. Our own characters and passions are the guide for our viewpoint- not least also and in nude arts. One should take time for viewing and reflecting the images.
