  • Challenge:
The Blue Glass & Guckenheimer approached us in the fall of 2011 through the Wessling Group, an agency based in San Fransisco, CA. We were asked to put together a proposal for a wide variety of creative items for the restaurant that would overall increase foot traffic for the upcoming year.

    Solution:
Elephantik working alongside The Wessling Group discovered an appropriate strategy that would include: interior menu signage design ( to increase the prominence of the Blue Glass Branding inside the restaurant near the Starbucks coffee bar stand ), poster design ( to increase the awareness of where all of the purveyors and food comes from for the cafe ), create a social media presence for Facebook ( to inform and create awareness of all of the cafe’s activities ), exterior A-Frame Design ( to increase foot traffic to the side entrance of the cafe), to create mezzanine word cloud graphics ( to communicate to the general audience the cafe’s commitment to eating well ), and lastly to create several collateral print devices and to help with on going marketing needs.

    Execution:

Since launching the A-Frame we’ve witnessed foot traffic along the side entrance, and as installation of the many interior items increase we will report our findings. We’ve also seen positive results from our interior poster creative and watched the growth of their facebook fan page double over the course of the design assignment.

  • A-Frame main Entrance signage Design directing traffic into the side entrance door which is otherwise unmarked due to the building code regulations for the John Hancock Tower. We strategically though this much needed A-Frame would help boost foot traffic into the restaurant and boost brand awareness of the cafe.
  • Poster Design for Purveyors there was 6 posters installed all around the location showcasing where all of the food that is in the restaurant comes from.
  • A-Frame Design at work - It really made us happy to capture a few customers leaving from the side entrance after walking in from that same entrance where the coffee signage design was displayed.
  • Social Media Design by Elephantik for The Blue Glass Cafe using a cover image from the mailer, and three sections for the menu + purveyors map + and new faces at the Blue Glass Cafe. View at http://facbeook.com/blueglasscafe
  • Proposed Word Cloud #1 of 2. This main word cloud included words such as: Crips, Organic, and Gourmet among many others to portray key words that Blue Glass Cafe is aspiring to.
