A Set of Ads. Intended to Promote sales at Blick Art Supply
- A set of two advertisements, this project is intended to promote the sales of supplies Blick art Stores. The demographic for these advertisements is: men and women between the ages of 13 and 29 years of age. These individuals would be artistic and interested in the use of art supplies to create professional quality art and design projects.The tagline featured in this campaign is: “create something.” To go with this idea, each piece in the set features an illustrated version of that Tag line in the center of the page. In the first piece, a border composed of various illustrated art supplies that you can purchase at Blick surrounds the tagline. In this piece, the tagline uses slab serif: Rotis Serif. The Blick logo is located at the bottom of the piece to visually ground the ad. The second ad features the Tagline in the center of the page. But instead of using the typical sans-serif font here, the letters are composed using groups of small illustrations of several art supplies. These advertisements feature illustration instead of photography, in order to display a level of involvement that can be achieved once someone purchases supplies at Blick.
The illustrations here employ a fun and whimsical aesthetic so that they are found attractive and enticing to this young and creative demographic. The color palette used on these pieces feature bright colors intended to represent the colorful creativity that can be had using Blick art supplies. There is a predominately warm color palette here, to convey enjoyment and a good time.
